Bestowed with Nalanda Nritya Nipuna Award by Nalanda Dance Reserch Centre and Shringar Mani by Sur Singar Samsad, Tina Tambe is one of the accomplished dancers, who did Nritya Alankar in Kathak from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai. A first class postgraduate in Kathak from Devi Ahilya University-Indore and the Government of India scholarship holder for advanced studies in Kathak, she has recently submitted her thesis for Ph.D on Dance Elements in the Poetry of Meera in Context of Kathak.

After her initial training under Ranjana Thakur, she continued under Dr Suchitra Harmalkar and Uma Dogra, attending workshops with Pt Birju Maharaj, Guru Pratap Pawar, Rajendra Gangani and Late Kelucharan Mohapatra (for abhinay). Her dance shows a beautiful blend of delicacy of Lucknow Gharana, vibrant energy of Jaipur Gharana and excellence of Raigadh Gharana. She has performed extensively solo as well as with her gurus in several prestigious festivals of India and abroad.

Tina has choreographed a full length ballet, Ritu Shringaar, and performed ten successful shows all over India. Founder Secretary of Ninad Shastriya Sangeet Samiti and the artistic director of Ninad Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai, Tina trains the newer generation of dancers, besides organizing concerts/workshops by eminent and upcoming artists.
